The Episealer is made of cobalt-chromium. The areas of the Episealer endoprosthesis that are in contact with the bone/cartilage are coated with a titanium and hydroxyapatite coating, ensuring rapid and permanent fixation to the bone.

The Episealer Trochlea Solo™ is a customized mini-endoprosthesis designed for the trochlea area of the knee. It treats localized defects in the cartilage and underlying bone in the femoral articulation. This treatment method is aimed at patients suffering from pain and limited mobility due to damage to the cartilage and underlying bone in the knee, regardless of where in the trochlea the damage is located, as the Episealer is a customized mini-endoprosthesis tailored to the individual anatomy of each patient. The treatment is designed to relieve pain and enable patients to regain joint mobility.
