Healthcare Holding Schweiz AG has successfully acquired PlusORTHO Prothetik GmbH, based in Oftringen.

PlusORTHO Prothetik GmbH reached another significant milestone in December 2022 with its 10th anniversary within the PlusORTHO Group. This occasion primarily signifies that we are aware that we have succeeded—despite fierce competition—in establishing ourselves in the market and building up a loyal customer base.

At the end of November 2022, the Swiss Parliament voted in favor of FDA (US Food & Drug Administration) approval of US medical devices. On Monday, November 28, a motion for “more leeway in the procurement of medical devices to supply the Swiss population” was passed in the Swiss Parliament.

Put a smile on the faces of children in need!
The PlusORTHO team got involved in a social project for needy orphans in Thailand. Wat Tham Tako is a Buddhist monastery where monks live alongside more than 200 orphans. The monastery relies on donations from the local population and sponsors to provide the children with food and clothing (daily ration per child: 0.24 CHF = 9 THB).

Conformis does something that we believe no other implant company does: we put patients at the center of the implant design process. By combining 3D imaging technology with state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, we manufacture each implant to match the patient’s unique anatomy.

BILLERICA, Mass., June 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Conformis Inc. (NASDAQ:CFMS), a medical technology company that uses its proprietary iFit Image-to-Implant technology platform to develop, manufacture and sell patient specific joint replacement implants designed to fit each patient’s unique anatomy, today announced publication of a study showing that patients treated with the iTotal CR Knee Replacement Systems achieved better tibial fit and tibial rotational alignment compared to patients treated with three different off-the-shelf (OTS) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) products.

Summary: Endoprosthetic joint replacement of the knee joint has become one of the most common and successful operations for patients with advanced tricompartmental knee osteoarthritis. However, many studies on the clinical outcome after knee joint arthroplasty show that patient satisfaction is lower than originally thought and that up to one-fifth of patients are not completely satisfied with the postoperative outcome.

Conformis is dedicated to advancing understanding of our products and their benefits to patients, surgeons, and hospitals through knee replacement clinical studies.

Neutral alignment leads to higher knee society scores after total knee arthroplasty in preoperatively non-varus patients: a prospective clinical study using 3D-CT.
